Yes, there is a CD version of this album! Mostly I've sold it only at shows, but it's popular. ONE CAVIAT: I don't have CD licensing for "The S-100 Bus," so you have to download that separately. But if you go to the individual track it's a FREE download, so it's kind of included - you just have to visit the website to get it. ^_^
Includes unlimited streaming of Cracksman Betty (Remixed and Remastered)
via the free Bandcamp app, plus high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more.
There was a time in Cascadia's history, and in its struggle for freedom and independence, when things looked bad.
Very, very bad.
American forces crossing over from southern Idaho were coming down the Columbia river, towards the passes, against the weather but making good progress, and only a small garrison of local Cascadian partisans stood between them and a straight shot down to Portland.
A stand had to be made. It couldn't hold, but it could delay. And a warning had to be sent to the provincial capital. But with the weather, and the mountains, and the radio silence... the warning had to be sent in person. Or at least, from very, very close range.
The stand was made. It did not hold for long, but it held long enough. A message was relayed, reinforcements were rallied, the mountains were held. But all, all of it, at great sacrifice.
This is the story of that night of sacrifice and hard decisions, told in a warm afternoon of many summers later.
