Angela, the author, wanted "something Japanese," because of the kitsune characters who show up in Bone Walker: Book Two of the Free Court of Seattle. So I went over my Japanese folk knowledge, presented a few options, and she picked Odeo Nihonbashi. The only problem with that is she also wanted Dame Douce Joulie, which is a Scottish tattoo.

So I joined them with a complicated arrangement that includes original material and my own variant of Road to Lisdoonvarna that I call Forced March to Lisdoonvarna; it has a completely different rhythm and also changes key modes several times. It's possibly my favourite track on the album.
